Looked OK to me without cross-checking it. He was doing free trial downloads at ECBS.

Saw them advertised while "spending a penny".

My phone wont support it but i am sure it would be great and an easy way to get the info you need.

I had a tide watch, I think it was rip curl, and it was quite good. You set it to the high tide of your chosen port, and away you go. It could have done with a secondary port as well though.
I have since had casio tide watches. They are ok, but in order to set them you have to input lunetidal data, which you have to search for on t`internet.
Less handy if you want to check a new location when you are out and about.
I am seriously considering this software myself, I dont know about wap pushes though. I would rather have a file that I could download then transfer to my phone.

Nick.

A word of warning, I'd be careful buying mobiletide form the web site. I just went through the pay by Paypal route - and it took my £5 and gave me absolutely nothing. Not happy. I have e-mailed them asking them to provide the software or give me my money back.

On the water is ok if you have bluechart. I just thought having it on my watch would be nice . Many is the time Iam working and wondering what the tide will be like for that evening or the next day . looking at a watch would help pass the day .
On my phone would be second choice as we don't always see "eye to eye"

I use "Pocket PC Tides" from http://www.neptune-navigation.com/ on a PDA/ phone and have found it to be very good for planning purposes (and accurate to a couple of cm on the day).

I have never spent more than £25 on a watch , the casio will do me . Problem is the watch is only ever as good as the strap these days when that wears out I end up with a new one because i can't find a new strap that fits and doesn't cost half the price of a new watch .
Thats if it hasn't kissed a sander or hammer etc in its short life in my workshop

I find that it's best to back the clutch off when working with leather.

Hang on, now I'm confused. Are you saying that you keep a cordless under the pillow?
