Steve, allow 5-8 minutes more from the Folly to Island Harbour outer pontoon where you drop off, they will charge I think £2 a head for drop.. There is a channel up from the Folly but watch your depth as you approach the pontoon , dont cut the corner to the pontoon.
I think Island Harbour will tell you their depths. It is only low water that is tight as you can go up to festival on the river to listen at most other times. I also would not enter their lock unless you plan to stay there whilst clients are off the boat.
As you ask for the whole journey I would allow an hour so the Ocean Village River Itchen out to clear water is ten minutes then over to Cowes and twenty to twenty five on River Medina. We are allowing 2hrs over and back between pick ups at The Hamble so 0900 then 1100 etc

EASYTIDE will show you the time and hight difference as far as the folly and newport and give you a free prediction 7 day's ahead .
Or you could work it out the old fashion way using the time and height differences in the Almanac .

Thanks Guys
I am allowing a comfortable hour for each leg, I would think if the conditions are OK they will want to go for it, so maybe less.
As of yesterday, Easytide would not go up to the 12th and beyond the Folly, wont give details. I'll call the guys over at Island Harbour later today.
Fingers crossed the weather is OK and they have a good performance! Funny, all my crew have offered to come along for free ......

You've probably spoken to them now but, for anybody else interested, Island Harbour's website contains useful information including pictures of the entrance:

If they had not cancelled, I would have !
The conditions even within Poole Harbour are best described as horrible. Still very tempted to put the dry suit on and go play ........

It sure was as we left Sparks marina in Black Magic at about 2 PM yesterday afternoon heading for Southampton Dry Stack. It was very very bad up to the forts then with the wind from behind we managed to get into Southampton waters at a good pace. The worst was Chichester bar some very deep seas
Ian your rib was being launched as we got back so you must have had some crossing to Cowes
