Tobermory, Staffa Coll Tobermory
Well it's probably a jaunt in the park for you helmet wearing nutters but my good lady and I have just left the freeloaders in Tobermory and gone round the top of Mull . I got my little 4.8 straight into the cave on Staffa , fantastic it was to . Got a slot in between the tourists trips so had it to ourselves .
Then headed ver to Coll for haddock and chips .
Back to Mull now having a pint in Tobermory grinning like a pair of Cheshire cats , although they need to do something with the floor in here it's swaying all over the shop .
Question is how long will it be before I am no longer a newbie

Well done the pair of you, we chickened out of going into the cave, a tad too lumpy for my liking. You're heading for Cliqueville as we speak

Yes good feeling it was a bit choppy between staffa and Coll so had to slow down (13knots) the rest was pretty steady

We had pretty crap weather on jura and a lot better here on Tobermory but for me jura still has the edge . It's great when your debating which is the best of the two places you love .

Glad to hear it went well:..trouble is now you've had a small Taste of Gods own Cruising Country...you'll soon be planning a return!
And unlike the Trevi Fountain,it won't even cost you a Coin! ...well it is Scotland

Remember don't spread the word we don't want hordes up here. We like the fact that there's not hundreds of boats all buzzing around that's why it's so peaceful and you can enjoy the seascape in all it's glory and splendour

I reckon that's your apprenticeship done. Pikey Dave will go get his Blindfold, Apron and Goat and induct you into the Grand Clique de RIBneteurs
P.S. I'm a bit jealous about Fingal's Cave, so you'd best watch how you go over the next week

Counting the days 'til we head up there on 6th Sept. A week on Loch Sunart, couple of days in Oban followed by a few days flushing everything through on Loch Lomond on the way back. Anyone else heading up north for an Indian summer in September?
