good for renovating as they were extremely well made. Hulls by Porters and toobs by Henshaws. Very strong build quality and they fly ( almost too much ) wath a 150 opti on a 6.5 but the back end can be sk8ty if you push it. but it's fun getting to that stage

Pete 7 and I did a fair bit of work on his and his memory is better than mine so send him a PM

How about a 6.1m with a 150 opti? probably a bit overpowered?

Have a search on here for "Porters" and "Deck", showing results as Posts rather than Threads - for convenience.

6.1 and 150 will give around 46/7 knots. Good fun and a bullet proof boat.

I've got the 7.1mtr with 150 Evinrude - good for 40 knts, and certainly flighty. I can get it airbourne off the back of a sunseeker wake with ease.

Tubes do sit fairly high so it moves around a bit at anchor. The only Issue I've had was the transom started to crack very slightly, Biffer on here fixed it very quickly - he knows a lot about their evolution so might be worth takling to him.
Other than that it's been bullet proof and solid in some fairly heavy seas.
