Toilet stops around Southampton?

I’m considering keeping a rib at the Southampton dry stack, but when we want to potter around for the day on the water we would need to use a toilet and even let our little dog do it’s business, so are there many places around to moor up for a loo break (us and a doggy)?

We tend to just hang out a**e over the side. Let the dog pee at the back of the boat & wash it down with a bucket of sea water & let the bilge pump earn it’s keep. There’s always a bucket.

‘Bucket and chuck it’

Been doing that for years and it was a definite need when my ulcerative colitis went into an uncontrollable spiral (fixed now though, thumbs up to the NHS).

Hamble, Warsash or Cowes harbourmasters pontoons but in theory you would have to pay for a short stay:Unless you take it in turns to nip ashore. Public loos near each of them.
Or go into a marina on a short stay.
Or the pub in Ashlett Creek if that's open.
Depends how far you intend to potter.

Poss Calcshot as well for the doggy. Nudge up to the stoney shoreline and step off.

I think someone posted on here about his wife and girls being MOST unimpressed that the boat had no loo and they solved it with all eyes forward, a portable-potty and a poncho for a bit of privacy

Otherwise travel Janes and keep a low profile
