Tomkat, Aquaquad who know similar?

Hi from caribbean!

I'm looking for something that can be used where jet Ski are prohibed. The Tomkat look good but production ended. The south african Aquaquad is now made in Morroco at a nice price but the design look like 70's. I'm not sure That I want to buy something so uggly. Any suggestion please? maybe an used Tomkat for sale?

There is also Zego boats, if you have enough money to buy new then it will hold its value, the second hand ones go for loads of money as they hardly come up. I think a bare boat and trailer when for over £2.5k last year.

It's for rental business where Jet Ski are just prohibited and I need something looking sport oriented, so must be a cat. I shown the Zego around and nobody like it. I imagine something like a Zapcat with a rhino rider console with the steering wheel replaced by a handlebar. Something like that is made in turkey but not a cat. I will do it myself, but I prefer to found a model ready.
This forum look very big! maybe somebody know if it's possible to buy the Tomcat licence, or mould somewhere. The other solution is to buy some Aquaquad to re-open the business the time I make my own model and mold but I don't feel happy to need to re-enter in manufacture business.

for a rental business with presumably inexperienced helms anything with a prop sounds (i) dangerous and (ii) expensive to maintain!

If it was me I'd be trying to understand why Jetskis are banned in the area because (a) its likely that high speed cats used by inexperienced renters are likely to upset the same people; (b) its quite possible that they will just extend the scope of the ban to include you!; (c) i'd want to see the exact definition of PWC they used - some definitions could include the cats.

Yes Poly, Jet Ski was banned for exactly that you say. PWC definition here don't include the cats. Recently a company got the rental licence to launch 4,10 RIB with 40 HP! Like you I think it's stupid to ban the Jet ski an accept free rental of this kind of High powered RIB. I don't plan to open a free rental base but a guided tour with 20 or 25 HP and propeller guard.
