Good stuff! I like German tools As are the top of the line Knipex stuff shown.

Instead of a full wrench set I carry two Swedish made at the time adjustable wrenches that have deep jaws and reasonably skinny heads with very tight jaws. (Did you know adjustable wrenches are directional and work best in one direction as the jaw won't move as much? Always turn towards the movable jaw. In the larger wrench sizes as in over 1"/25mm an adjustable wrench of quality flexes less than even a Snap-on wrench, which is possibly the strongest wrench on the market.) Scuba stuff takes enough specialty wrenches, and I need to not be carrying a lead brick, as we have to carry enough lead already to sink a drysuit with thick undies.

I've always been a fan of the Bahco adjustable spanners, used them for many years. I think they were made in Sweden, not sure if they still are, but after using a friends Knipex plier wrench a few years ago I became an instant convert and bought multiple sets for work, home and on the boat. They grip 10 times tighter than even the most precise adjustable spanner due to the cam action. They are my go tool tool for many situations now, you just seem to reach for them over an adjustable spanner or even a combination spanner for many jobs. Since I bought them I've not used an adjustable spanner.

I'm not actually a big fan of wera, they are well made but I just don't get on with the handle shape. I prefer Klein screwdrivers. I have the Klein 32303 (14 bit) multi screwdriver in the boat tool box.

The dirt cheap us pro spanners have been surprisingly acceptable. Not a patch on the finish of my main sets in the workshop (gear wrench and cornwell), but honestly, I've no complaints. Fit well and have taken some abuse (being lengthened using two spanners at the same time to undue stubborn bolts on a trailer winch for example). The extendable us pro 3/8 drive ratchet has also been better than expected. It has a coarse action compared to a top quality fine toothed ratchet, but I've had it fully extended and I've been jumping up and down on it to remove a boat trailer wheel lugs and it took no damage. Can't ask for the more than that for the price. I think the ANSI max working limit for 3/8" drive is 150 ft lb's, I think this ratchet could do it, although I don't plan to try.

The tool box should float, its under 10 kg and the buoyancy of the peli 1400 case is just under 10 kg, but I've not tried it. No doubt I'll find out one day!
