Water bottle - its thirsty work
Gecko - keep the wind and spray out of my eyes so I can see what's what
Scots seat - to have one is to understand
Fusion stereo - hard to beat the sounds when relaxing at the end of the day
A 5m double shackle rope - for coming along side single handed

Thanks dude, I'll take from your list:
Water bottle - its thirsty work
Gecko - keep the wind and spray out of my eyes so I can see what's what
A 5m double shackle rope - for coming along side single handed
I can't use the following as it's part of the boat:
Scots seat - to have one is to understand
Fusion stereo - hard to beat the sounds when relaxing at the end of the day

My top five...
1/ Razor sharp knife with gut-hook s/s blade (invaluable for fouled prop)
2/ Garmin Etrex GPS (entry-level, no nonsense piece of kit)
3/ Draper 12-piece socket set with spark plug tool (should be compulsory for all 2-strokes)
4/ Cheap sunglasses (salt spray would kill my Oakleys)
5/ Suncream (even on an overcast day you can get burnt)

Flare pack
Multi-tool + basic toolkit + spare fuses
Drybags for spare clothing, etc
Blankets (I have two young boys and carry these even on the warmest days as they can keep the sun off as well as the warmth in)
Handheld VHF (assuming this isn't part of what you class as boat kit?)
