Tornado 5.8 prop set up
Just collected my new to me Tornado 5.8 which I re powered with a new Suzuki Df 140 A .Having nursed it around the harbour for the run in period it was time open it up and see what it was capable of with the 21 inch aluminium Suzuki prop on the back .Two up with 100 ltrs of fuel good conditions getting around 34 knts flat out @ 5900 revs ,24 knts @ 4200 revs , cavatation plate sitting parallel with the transom. Any information from other 5.8 Tornado or similar (ribcraft 5.8 ) about props , transom height would be gratefully accepted. Expected 37,38, knts
This is one of the last boats manufactured in Barnet Marine and was bought by the local college here in Cork rarely used stored inside absolutely spotless condition
