Tornado
Nearly another year gone and my first year of owning a RIB what fantastic fun it made our annual holiday on the west coast of Scotland even better , I have now sold our rib made some money and will be looking for a slightly bigger one as we found the 5 m Tornado was a bit cramped for our Salen to Tobemory trip (5 and a dog) so will try for a 5.5 or 6 m. Anybody thinking about getting one do it and experience the world of Ribbing. :-)
Looking forward to finding another!!!!!

We'll found and bought another rib it's a 5.5 m Osprey Eagle with a very low hours Suzuki 60 hp four stroke. She needs a little tlc ( cleaning) and I should have a nice rib. Add more seats and then play.

Nice. She didn't seem to move much so hopefully you'll give her more of a chance to play.
Never had a close look cos i was always driving past on the way home. Nice new looking lump. What size?

I agree I'm going to try and put two jockey seats side by side behind the consul and can you recommend what is best for cleaning the tubes as I've been told TFR but any more recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers Nigel

Ive used tfr with green scoring pads worked ok but was a bit patchy(probably me not rubing enough)plenty on here use fairy power spray which seams to look good.
I put 2 consoles side byside in my tornado was a bit tight but was more sociable for passengers

You mean the one just on the ring road before you get to the Eleventh Earl? Used to drive past that all the time!

Used to go out with a bar maid there in the mid 1970s before it was renamed & went all upmarket lol, Tornado boats had there roots not too far away from there about a mile or so further up the road around about the same time .

+1 for fairy power spray with green scouring pads, works a treat on the white tubes on our Revenger, stubborn stains may need neat spray leaving on for a few minutes, then respray and plenty of elbow grease, works a treat

Btw, It is better not to fix your boat with a band over the tubes....they don't like it.
Fix it to the trailer at the bow eye and at the transom eyes....
