Fantastic Andrew - stunning conditions in the video and love the rebuild one- really shows you how great they can turn out regardless of original condition - provided you are skilled enough!

Do you mind me asking what the entire rebuild project cost - just interested to compare what you now have - looking good as new - with a new new one

Very nice - as for value I have not the foggiest idea but sure some of the others might be able to help - with all the photos and detail of the rebuild on here it would be a good buy if ever you sold her on - at least the new buyer could see exactly what you did and when - really nice job Andrew

RIBase
Loss of 5 kn

Andrew

I think that you have lost the 5kn as the wetted area of the hull has increased because the weight has moved up the boat. i.e. with the tiller you sat at the transom, with the seat you sit at or around the mid point.

The center of bouyancy is now further towards the bow with the seat arrangement. This should improve the ride in rougher conditions as the rib would be as heavy on the transom.

I have found that by adding weight into the anchor locker that the ride in rougher conditions has improved but it has also resulted in a loss of overall speed. I am happy with this trade off.

Andrew,

I would ballpark at £5.5-6.5k. Hard to know until you put it up for sale and see what bites.
