Touring caravan sites with slipways. North west/North Wales

Hi !!

Is anyone aware of any decent touring caravan sites that also have a slipway close by or on site ? Looking for northwest England/ North Wales / Anglesey / south west Scotland. Preferably not in the Lake District where there are speed restrictions on the water.

Thanks in advance.

You could try the UK Campsites website. They have the ability to filter by boat launching facilities.

Camp site with slipway

Try this one, its a bit higher up but it takes me around six hours from Leeds. Great place and it is relatively sheltered.

They have a sister site that accepts caravans and you will still be able to use the slipway.

Hi Mick, We've been using Home Farm caravan site on Anglesey. It's about 5 minute drive to Treath Bychan on the north side of the island, but if the wind is from the NE it can be a bit much, so we drive across the island to Treaddur Bay where the sea conditions are generally the opposite! Actually found these two webcams which are a blessing!

https://weather.trearddurbay.org/camera/ this one pans round so you get to see the whole bay

and

If anyone is looking this morning, you'll see what I mean about the difference!!

In addition, I have this one saved on my "to do" list - touring site with it's own slipway and a heated pool for the kids if the weather is crap! https://www.penrhynbay.com/

Hope that helps

Thanks, I’ve been looking at Anglesey and had a drive out the other weekend to scope out, I really liked Penrhyn bay but there’s a 3 year wait for a season pitch and as of next year they aren’t taking tourers for short stay. I’ll have a look at Holme farm. There’s not many sites on Anglesey that take tourers .

Highly recommend Home Farm, it's a lovely 5* site. Also worth getting the searchforsites app, it's £5.99 a year but we've found it the best way of searching for appropriate sites, lots of filters and it includes CAMC and C&CC sites including CL's.

I have used this 2?yrs running for dive club Accomodation but we don’t use the slip as it’s a bit exposed and prefer to keep it in Dunstaffnage marina just a few miles up the road. However, have seen plenty of people use the caravan site slip. It’s free to users of the site and had a hose nearby.
