You’ll need to be a bit more specific in location please.

On a side note, and just a personal thing. I’m on the west coast just now in Lewis. Be respectful when you rock up to the slip, park so you’re not blocking other pier or slip traffic, and if possible move the trailer to where you’re camped, otherwise it all gets a bit congested.

Ullapool has a great slip, in fact they have just widened the Main Street and included pontoon facilities in the harbour. You can leave the trailer near Tesco (lorry and car park). Gives you access to Loch Broom, and of course Summer Isles.

Ardmair Point is good camp ground heading north. Chalets and campsite. Their is a slip there to, but it’s very narrow.

I ran a diving trip to Uist about 30 years ago. We launched in Lochmaddy, but I think that particular slip has gone now due to the Ro-Ro ferry terminal. There're a couple of slips around 'maddy that you can use. We also launched on Benbecula at a military slip iirc. There's also a slip and pier at Grimnish, which is a good launch to to get to The Monachs, which are on a par with St Kilda IMHO.

If you are planning to go to Lochmaddy beware the marina is closed, almost certainly for the rest of the year at least after it lost a fight with a dredger!

@Mick - you might have found this already: https://www.rib.net/forum/f8/lewis-i...tml#post801347
