Agree with Paul F. No mention of that at London. And it was even said that the Motherships were welcome to bring as many people along as deemed fit, so why not the ribs? Extra clothing was offered for sale early on, so we have been planning 4 all along. The FREE clothing allowance was for 2!
I think a lot of people would cancel if that were the case as the only reason for doing this is to be part of a special event. Of course extra people would want to come, up to a safe boat load

To be fair, Lurcher, (and I was at the LSC meeting) it was pointed out that if there were too many peeps on the RIBs they may not be in a position to render assistance to casualties if required. IMHO this is a perfectly valid point. Also, if there is a boatload of peeps enjoying themselves too much the punters are not likely to take your instructions seriously.

Ribald....
I think there's a valid point about overloading. We will still have 3-4 spare seats and the 2 extra crew I will be taking are both first-aid trained. I and my son are not.
Interesting that it was not mentioned before though - bit late now!

I was at the LSC briefing. Ta for the pint Lurcher.
I asked about crew numbers & "uniform" because I had planned on 4 of us being out. The way I understand it, is that Premier have paid for 220 sets of polos and jackets and for that they want all rib crews to be in "corporate colours". A fair request for all that outlay, but a bit late in the day to tell us.
I know that we were offered the chance to buy extra clothing and I/the crew may have, if we may been aware of this.
Out of interest, is every one elses jacket inside pocket stiched up with the word PREMIER?

We will be three up with two sets of clothing! What are 'corporate colours' so our third person, who is the most experienced helm, can blend in?
We still will have 3 planing seats (jockies) spare, plus forward of the console bench and the sun deck! Tell us about the flag also - I may need an auxilliary flag pole to lash to A frame?

Electrical cable conduit (circular section) makes a good flagpole.

We have never taken anyones instructions too seriously, so I recon the punters should arm themselves with a few paint guns. Extra points for direct hits on marshalling boats flags

Just try it. Our response will be to call up Peter T and his chums to have a quiet word.

Plus ca change or summut.
My jacket has been enbroidered over the pocket so I cant use it. I just hate not having an inside pocket to keep my fags dry. I might have to unpick it.
Still, Cant complain, it was a freeby. Very nice shelled fleece. It may be used to mask a vile shirt at the next pub meet.

Can you spare one or two Andy. I think a Sunseeker with Dazzle camo. would look nice. It might even interest the Marines.

Get him a polo shirt to match the colour of the ones you have. I am trying to find some for crew 3 & 4.
