I can't remember where I bought mine from last year (must be the age beginning to set it):
However a Google for Traffic Film Remover brings this up and it says you can collect from various branches (go through to checkout page):

Any good?

I use a variation of TFR and its fantastic at cleaning tubes. Going to try TFR now as its a lot cheaper than the variation I've been using and its supposed to be basically the same stuff. I'll post my results once I've used it.

I've just bought 5 litres of the stuff from Machinemart.
Lurcher, cheers for that info. Prior to buying it I did a quick search on RIBNET and found the same remark made by Mollers some time ago. Therefore I bought the diluted stuff. I reckon that should be good to use tomorrow. I don't leave it on the tubes long before I wash it off anyway.

I use the hardcore stuff neat on everything and its amazing. When I say everything I mean everything; rib, oven, car etc. Be careful on some painted surfaces as it will damage sensitive paintwork. On the tubes I spray it on neat, rub it with a pan scourer then pressure wash off straight away (lots of rinsing!). As Lurcher says wear gloves. I always wear two pairs - this stuff is very nasty if you get it on your hands.

Well,
Just cleaned the boat tubes and they look like brand new now, well chuffed. They weren't that dirty but had a light ingrained dirty look to them.
Also cleaned the garage door with stuff whilst I was at it and the trailer number plate board which was grey but is now white. Sad I know.

Did you use a sponge or a scourer or what?

Codders,
I've got an old hand brush that Nauti Boy left on the boat. Its like a plastic stiff bristled hand brush that you might clean floors with. (A larger version of a nail/hand cleaning brush) Probably cost a quid from a hardware store.
I used a sponge on the garage door and number plate board.

Tfr
I have a load of TFR which came from my friends who used to run a car wash - its all sitting in the corner of my living room - I am sure I could take a sensible offer. Each container is 25L

Nick,
If you know someone with a maccess card, you can buy it in bulk there 20ltrs,
I've found it usefull only if you use it with a hot water pressure washer .. then very good. with cold water not so good, I still had to use a mitt to remove road film, thats for cars.
I wouldn't put it anywhere near the rib, its corrosive,(do a test with some metal) also if your drive is bitumen it will melt that as well.
My own experience of trying things has always led back to Autoglym, anything with that name in it usually works.

Iain,
I have been using it or a derivative of it for a couple of years now. As you say its corrosive. I put a bit on, rub it in and then wash off almost immediately with water. Never had any problems that way.
Interesting about the bitumen. I don't have a tarmac drive but was considering using it on my patio through a jet washer. At the price it costs its wortha try anyway.
