Trailer - Finally
Finally sorted out a trailer - bought a new one. Took an age to get the boat to fit the trailer and it still needs a bit of a tweak.
Indespension say this trailer is good for an 8m rib - but my rib is a 7.5 and it only just fits! Anyway, all good, you don't want a bigger trailer than you need.
Looking forward to the summer!

Also took the opportunity to sort out the "biohazard" that was under the rear coaming. Unfortunately forgot to take some of the proper "before" pics where, I swear it's true, a new species was evolving. Unfortunately, only took a before flowcoat (and final cleaning & sanding) pic. This was my first time adding wax to gel - normally I just buy flowcoat. All worked well.
Obviously was pretty cold today, so I had my 4kw sealey radiant heater and hot air gun on it all to warm it up - all got nice and warm and all the resins went off nicely.

Trailer looks good Matt ,seems a new ish thing ,not to have too much spare capacity in length ,personally i was planning going dutch on a 1800kg single axle ,however with a 6.5m rib and the longest single axle made by said company is 6.5m ,athough long enough i prefer not to faf with the number plate arms as my knees are shot ,so think i will keep what i have and buy some ally wheels for a bit of an upgrade !

Oh - and for trailer board faffing, I love my new wireless LED lights! No cables to run.

Yes. Wireless, although not Bluetooth. Really good battery life, very bright, DOES trigger the repeater light in my old fashioned car. So I am going to make a bracket on my trailer so I can just “pop” them on and off we go. No faffing about with wires, brilliant.

The gearbox removed for security reasons, noticed loads of outboards doing this in Poole and assumed they had been stolen?

They look very interesting. When I starting the build on my new Rib I may well consider a set of those. I assume they are magnetic ?

I could not wait and just bought a set. I will use these for the shorter journeys but If I travel a long way will probably still use a light board. I will report back how they are
