I don't know about farmers but doubt they are exempt if on public roads. They probably just get away with it for the most part.

I will have a look later to see if I can find the info I mentioned though.

It doesn't mean much to me though as I never refitted my Docking poles with new rib. Also, I am at 2.7m already so don't want more.

Went down Cornwall with my ribquest 2.5 m very tight round the lanes not easy at 2.7 m

OK reporting back. Got the poles, fitted them. Worked a treat ! Able to get boat onto trailer in correct position first time in strong side ways tidal push. Brill.

Shame they didn't come with correct fittings for my trailer so had to lash the crossbar on. A situation I was trying to avoid and why I bought from trailer manufacturer and gave them the trailer serial number prior to order and got all the assurances etc ! Bloody frustrating.
