Max HP was 50 find the weight of the engine you have and work from that mt guess would be a 30-40 HP four stroke

Outboard weight sort of wasn't considered back then because they were all 2-strokes and weighed very little in comparison to today's outboards of similar HP.

I had a 55 Suzuki on my Force 4 and it flew, but was a little too tail heavy in the rough stuff.
It was a three cylinder engine so was a little heavier than a twin.

Still miss mine:
https://www.rib.net/forum/members/1181-albums290.html

The orange and White one I inherited from my father so obviously it held a lot of memories, but we also had one of the very first ones, so I sort of grew up with them.

I upgraded the engine from a 40HP Suzi to the 55HP Suzi and it was so quick, especially at take off with the extra torque from the third pot.

I remember as a kid hauling the first one up beaches and people crowding around as nobody had ever seen a RIB before, and the concept of a 'speedboat' with tubes was very alien to most.
