I used www.boattransport.co.uk.
Top fellas.
Cost about £1000 in mid-2080 to go from Hythe marina to Anglesea (Holyhead).
Handled the boat like it was gold dust.

try south west boat transport, they are always busy going all around Europe and ensure that the boat is never left on its own throughout its passage. I hear really good things about them so well worth getting a quote!

Thanks
to all who posted. I've written to these transporters. If anyone had any other, please post them.
Thanks,
cuttlefish.

If anyone is intersted
the quotes I have so far are just over £3,000 (UK-Northern Italy). Don't know fi that's a good price or not. Am wondering how much hassle it is to use a mate's trailer and drive it down myself (taking it nice and slowly).

It's not a bad price.
How big a boat is it? It might be cheaper to put it in a container.
