trouble planing need prop advise

I have a new to me 12' RIB w a eurohelm powered by a 25 HP 2 stroke Yamaha. Took it out today for the first time. Engine fired right up ran and sounded great. I was hoping that this boat would plane fairly easily with that much power ( I can get my smaller Inflatable to plane w me solo and only a 4 HP merc on it). The problem was getting up on plane. 2 people in boat. 2 batteries and 6 gals fuel. At first boat would not even plane. stern just dug in and bow high in air plowing water. Other passenger had to move to bow and then boat slowly came up on plane and I could maintain speed with about 1/2 throttle. WOT speed was not as fast as other similar boats w same HP Ive been on. Boat seemed to want to porpoise at anything less than full throttle. Upon inspection of prop I saw it had obv been damaged. Leading edges on all 3 blades are dented/damaged and 1 blade was obv hit pretty hard and clearly bent. I was planning on adding Doel Fins and a new prop. I use this boat to run back and forth to beach w between 1-3 people on board and gear. Im going to remove 1 battery as I don't need the added weight.

any ideas on props that would work? I dont care much about top speed I just need to get out of the hole as easy as possible w some weight onboard. I was thinking a 4 blade 12 pitch w doel fins?

New prop first. Then make sure it is trimmed down enough. Bow rise should not be extreme.

My preference is the "Stingray" fin over Doel Fins. One piece design.

its a white alum prop. looks like 9 7/8 x 11 1/4 F . im assuming thats the Dia and pitch. Im thinking a 4 blade 10" x 10p . Im assuming a lower pitch would get me out of the hole faster?

Standard 3 blade prop should be fine on this engine, minus dents! Just wonder if the prop bushing is damaged too so you are getting prop slip?

New propeller certainly, check the hole-setting trim angle on the engine saddle where it locks into place. Start with the hole nearest the transom and work from there.

Genuine Yamaha propellers (think they are F-Series) 10-spline go from 9 7/8 x 8 pitch through to 14 pitch for 25hp B, D, J and N models. Expect to pay $125, possibly cheaper since you're state-side!

I used to run a Yammie 25D 2-cylinder 2-stroke. lovely engine, loads of torque.

It's not only about a prop, transom/motor height, trim, deck load distribution, a healthy motor with a prop revving at its max wot rpm range also accounts for a fast plane...

Happy Boating
