I considered building new tubes for my boat but found it far cheaper to cover the sun damaged top of the tubes with PVC material, but it was a lot of work too. The two hold backs were cost of Hypalon material $$$$, and having to build a very large work bench, when I don't have the garage space, nor much flat ground to work with.

How long is your work bench? What glue are you using? I'd assume you are buying a large bucket of glue? Otherwise using the old tubes for patterning should make it fairly routine.

It’s lot of time for sanding. I’m using all material from https://orcaretail.com/. All product are available.
For this annex, I buy 5kg of Orca Glue.
If personn are interesting, I will continue to post the project.

Please do post more info and pictures

I would use a power sander with 60-80 grit for prepping to glue. Taping off first of course.

The factory is in Belgium so probably far cheaper to ship to France than the USA. I will save the website though, so thanks for the link.

What part of France are you in? We just went Normandie for D-day, then to visit my wife's family in Figeac.

I'd love to see more. I can only imagine what this might cost.

Itll be interesting to see how this works out, I'm okay with glueing bits on but dont think I have the patients to build a complete set of tubes. Looking forward to your progress

THANKS. It’s definitely long but it’s very interesting. The painful part is sanding.
