Tube Cleaning

I'm cleaning up the tubes after 3 years. Need to be all smart for the IoW

Fairy Power Spray seems to be the stuff for the hyperalon, but the rubbing strake's the grimiest bit.

Would something like Screwfix uPVC furniture cleaner work on the strake?(can't seem to post an image!) Has anyone tried it?

I have some Hypa-tec conditioner / finish en-route for when thr tubes are clean. Should look good after some elbow grease & time.

Like lots of us, I have boxes of stuff to clean the boats, TFR to Toobshine.

But if the going gets really tough I break out the big guns. Its not cheap and it doesnt go very far but I get great results especially on things like handles and the rubbing strake.Use a green pad for best results.

Ron Hale Marine Ltd - Zodiac Revival Ecological Cleaning Paste

Its a shame though, it used to be even better before it went all namby pamby eco freindly

upvc cream cleaner is my current favorite for cleaning everything! use it with a wet sponge, works better than when used neat
