Tube pressures

I have a Walkerbay rib & the quoted tube pressure is 0.4 bar which seems very high ? What pressure are others running ?

Not sure on bar to psi conversion but my zodiac recommends 3.4 psi which I thought was very hard when I first bought it, to the point I bought two new pressure gauges thinking they must of been wrong. They feel solid and tight and make a pinging sound when you flick them.

Pressures

Yeah that pressure sounds more normal , my quoted pressure in bar equates to about 5.8 PSI which just seems way too high

According to this Walker Bay Owners Safety Manual https://walkerbay.com/wp-content/upl...ed-05.2012.pdf you should be running at 3.5 psi.

Once boat has been floating for a while reinflate all air chambers to 3.0 PSI which is enough air pressure to achieve an excellent water performance There's no water performance difference whatsoever between 3.0 and 3.5 PSI as 3.0 is near rock hard.

If boat counts with high side tubes which doesn't ride on water 2.0-2.5 PSI wll be enough specially during summer times as auto reinflation to a higher pressure will occur due to sun exposure.

Happy Boating

RIBase
Could it have been 0.24 bar and either the 2 was missing or rubbed out?

0.24 bar is 3.5psi.

Avon recommend 2-3psi. Apparently they built them to a bursting pressure of 8psi.

I used to have a quicksilver airdeck sib which requires a very high pressure, around 4psi if I recall.
