tube repairs
Can anyone suggest a source for repair patches or Handles to cover some marks on a hypolon tube .
need to be 29.5 by 14.5 cm .
I bought a small avon and it had had the davit brackets removed leaving the nasty cosmetic mess on the tubes.
nearly forgot grey is the colour.
ps anyone got a small boat for sale I would be interested! 2.8 to 3.5m.
thanks.

Mr Jizm - you appear to have made a small error with your link - try http://www.henshaw.co.uk/ - I think you will find that works a little better. I find copying and pasting a working link works best - it means you can't type it wrong!

Have got a 2.6 metre Avon RIB that I would be interested in selling. It has been used 3 times and about 3 years old but always kept inside. There is a launching trolley and trailer if required.

Well, you could be right Keith. I am after a match for my w 55 mariner engine short shaft (I think the 2.6m RIB might just be a little small) and a big SIB might be the answer. The funds from the 2.6m will contribute to the purchase price.
By the way if you want to borrow my w 55 to hasten your Pentland firth crossing your welcome!!! (Reliability not guaranteed)

Tube Repairs
You could try www.olmectubing.co.uk They offer repairs on Hypalon Neoprene tubes if that helps at all. Ask for Ed.

PVC on Hypalon?
Can PVC patches be used on a Hypalon Boat? If so what type of glue should be used?

I'm not sure why you would want to do it but yes they can. However, not directly.
You must use pvc adhesive on the patch, 2 coats, and you must let it cure, not just dry but cure. This adhesive will form a barrier which prevents the plasticisers in the pvc migrating to the hypalon adhesive and turning it into a sticky substance.
Use normal hypalon technique for gluing.

Mike theres a guy in Hernia Bay called Darren who does tube repairs, he's very good and fairly cheap and he'll either take the boat away or do the repair on site.
PM me and i'll dig out his phone number.
