Local hydraulic hose shop? I think the fittings are pretty standard, and you'd be bypassing the "marine" markup.

Hi, I would go to Hypro Marine in Lymington. I needed hoses and fittings and went to local hydraulic supplier and price was extortionate and probably over specced. Hypro knew exactly the kit I needed, popped it in the post for me and was less than half the price. I even broke one of the connectors and they sent a new one free of charge. Can't fault them. They will also send the hoses with connectors fitted, ready to install for a small fee.

I have tube from a Baystar kit. Its even marked green and red for some reason. Both tubes are 20 feet long. One end has an olive nut attached the other end you cut to length and put the other olive nut on. Is this what your looking for?

Most likely. Both made by Teleflex.

I tried this route and the hydraulic shop wanted $180 for custom hoses while I was able to get West Marine to price match me a set of 12 ft. Seastar hoses for $95.

They may or may not be be. The Seastar are definitely not "cut to fit". The fittings are hydraulically pressed on each end and not adjustable.

Was talking about the actual thread/nipple/nut size. I don't recall what it is, exactly, but somewhere in the 1/2" range? I was thinking the hoses would likely be interchangeable between the two systems. Could well be wrong, as a quick search shows different part numbers (though I didn't do much comparison.)

Probably true. I just know that I couldn't adjust the length on mine and had to put a loop in under-deck. 10 feet was too short and the 12 footers (which I got) were a little long.

OK. Think the operating pressure is different, at least on the seastar pro its higher. So maybe the high end tubes works on baystar but not vise versa?

The Baystar tube is rated up to 150hp no psi rate on the tube.
The Seastar hose is rated to 100psi.
The Seastar pro hose is rated to 1500psi.
They all use the same 3/8 tube thread which is 9/16x 24 tpi.
Aquafax will supply bare hose and connections to make up hoses any length you want.
