This is the start of our 2nd year as addicted boat enthusiasts, and from what I can gather the hobby must be huge in the UK. Therefore why is there nothing on the TV or any other type of media covering RIBS boating etc? Im sure novices like me and you more experienced guys would rather tune in to a boat program than any of those stupid soaps. (apologies to and boaters that think the soaps are OK).

Huge compared to??? unfortunately we are in a tiny minority which does not translate well to TV advertising models, we use suppliers that don't use TV advertising (so why would they start) and the rest of the TV watching public don't care about... Olympic sports cant get tv coverage outside the olympic games.... even ones we win gold at.....

Unfortunately it will be more soaps, reality nonsense and baking/cooking/painting/singing shows...........

There are some good youtube channels get a smart TV or chrome cast/apple tv to enjoy some big screen action.

depends what you are looking for.

The RNLi channel is pretty good and there are some good maintenance channels, the disaster videos are good for laugh. There are couple of racing one like P1

Thanks HDAV, Ive done the disaster/funny vids to death ,I will check out the RNLi channel.
