Tying up in Oban

Going to be taking rib to Oban area for 10 days in June for some diving, fishing, cruising etc etc.Was just wondering if there is anywhere in the town to tie up for a couple of ours in the evening in order to pick up a takeaway/have a pint etc?From memory there isnt anywhere obvious!!!!!

Will have my compressor with me if anyone fancies a dive or 2 !!!

I understand that best to moor at Kerrera and there is a free water taxi to the town.
Noticed when there two weeks ago that small boats were mooring alongside taxi slip in Oban for short time but not sure if big rib would fit.

Hi sounds like an expensive fish and chips if you have to pay for a berth in the marina to get the free taxi!!

There is a pontoon at Dungallan (with an honesty box for payment), or the Oban Times slip, or the North Pier, or the marina at Kerrera. Alternatively, there is a good fish and chip pace at Tralee Bay

Thanks for that....yes the fish and chips at Tralee are good.... no beer close at hand though!!!

Easdale is 16 miles south of Oban.
We have 2 pubs The Oyster Bar and The Puffer
We have a safe harbour
Camping behind Highland Arts
Excellent diving

I've tied up by the slip near the Oban Inn a few times while the wife went shopping. I faithfully waited for her in the Oban
