UK Zodiac Dealers

My Pro 550, 2010 is getting tired. I'm looking for recommendations for a Zodiac dealer who will supply and fit new tubes and a host of repairs and up grades. The rib lives in Greece but I'm going to tow it back to have the work done here. (UK)

If you are towing back from Greece, have you considered having the work done in France?

I was going to recommend Yampower (based in Glasgow) but I think they have stepped away from Zodiac now?

Any Zodiac dealer should be able to quote and supply direct to a business if you're getting other upgrades. pretty sure they are PVC, but Zodiac have started producing hypalon/neoprene versions too - so they'll need hull ID to identify.

Depends what the other work is, GRP repairs, new electronics, etc.

Does it have to be done by Zodiac? There are plenty of independents out there that will probably make a better job for lower money.

Kieran at Ribshop replaced the tubes on our Zodiac Pro Open 550 a few years ago. He did a great job, no hassle - +44 1489 556802 they are based on the Hamble.

I believe Chas Newens remain the main dealer in the UK (will happily stand corrected) they are on the embankment in Putney in London. When I priced it up Kieran was cheaper by some margin than Chas Newens on the tubes and Kieran/Ribshop did it all onsite in Southampton Dry Stack.

Yampower are great to deal with, and supplied the original boat, but as you suspected not zodiac agents anymore. Thanks for your response.

Probably not Dave, I'll approach an independent to see of Zodiac will supply them. If I'm reselling the boat, I would like it to have OEM bits. Thanks for the steer

They are at the boat show “zodiac” and have a U.K. presence but I’d agree having it done closer to the area of operation might be a good idea

Spoke to Phil Lynch of the Captain's Locker today at the boat show. I have brought Zodiac parts from him before and reckon he gives a fair assessment of where the brand is now.
