The powers that be have allowed an OCR race to take part in Salcombe Estuary between The Yacht Club and Wolf Rock which at the entrance. 65 mph racing and the crowd will be looking down on the boats for the whole race! This will be on this weekend, the 8th and 9th of September.
OCR use Phantom 19's, Bernicos and a couple of Concordes - all ski boats with mostly Yamaha 130's on the back great fun to watch with very tight racing and tight corners!
There will be 4 20 minute heats, 2 on Saturday 1500 and 1545 and two on Sunday 1400 and 1445. Sundays 1400 race will be the one inside the estuary, and the rest will take place outside.
There is also a basic race at 1600 on Sunday afternoon, so if anyone has a fast RIB (or anything else) it's not too late!
