The very reason I'd suggest going with bigger brands is because you can indeed verify what cells they use. People go out of their way to get good quality Samsung and LG cells over unknown Chinese versions. Follow your local fire brigade on social media and no doubt you'll see plenty of examples of why you should avoid unbranded batteries.

Indeed....I see it almost everyday....the new deep fat frying pan of yesteryear!

Power packs, eciggs, phones and even electric cars.

Not just the batteries themselves but also the cables and chargers.

No guarantee even with branded items (thinking Samsung phones a couple of years ago)

But why risk your own, or you loved ones lives to save a couple of pounds.

Not trying to stoke an argument or judge because as ever...each to their own. But I would urge caution.
