Have just tried the new tape called Gorrila tape. This is like super duper duct tape and has multiple uses, including fixturing and temp repairs to tubes. It sticks like you know what to a blanket even to concrete. I used it to hold re-glued rub strake in place while glue set up. Only comes in black. When removed the glue residue can be removed with toluene. Hmmmph. I paid $10 at OSH (but I don't know how big the roll was.) Seems like good stuff, but of course, as soon as I got it home, all tape-needing jobs disappeared.
