Yes, it is I.

I launched www.SolentRIBster.com as a key online resource for those interested in RIBs located in the Solent area. SolentRIBster.com provides essential impartial advice, guidance, hints and tips to help RIBsters get the most out of their RIB. It covers all levels of experiences and knowledge. My aim to to
promote safe and fun ribbing.
It is not for profit.

Your feedback would be appreciated.

Regards

Rich

How about a link to rib.net from your site? Considering you are advertising your site in your signature!

Good site! Some excellent reading suggestions in there, particularly Solent Hazards and Wight Hazards which are essential for us yachties but most powerboaters don't seem to think relate to them!

I hope you don't mind if I make some suggestions that people may find useful:

A couple of real-time weather stations you may want to add as well for Lee on the Solent and Cowes

http://www.ivegotwind.co.uk/ - Lee and Hill Head

http://www.cowesharbourweather.com/weather/ - for Cowes

http://www.greatweather.co.uk/ - for the most comprehensive weather related links on the web!

And for tides at Portsmouth - http://www.pol.ac.uk/ntslf/tides/?port=0008

http://www.gafirs.org.uk/ - the Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service based at Stokes Bay.

It may also be worth adding the VHF lists for the marinas, sailing clubs and Harbourmasters in the region. There's a list on here somewhere, perhaps you could, with John's permission, simply link to that.

I really like the site, I will be back and forward watching it evolve!! (If you do a "Solent Ribsters you're likely to meet gallery" then I'll send some pics!!!

PS - Where in Hampshire are you? I'm guessing that you know your rib is named after a caravan park in Hook!!!!

Thanks for the encouraging feedback. I've placed a link on my web site to www.rib.net.

I'll incorporate some of your other feedback this weekend (unless the weather is too nice and I spent it on my RIB!)

Rich

Nice site , you own a Solent Rib but no link to them, why not put links to all the Solent based manufacturers . Training would be useful so a link to the RYA or you could plough through the RYA website and list all of the Solent based schools or contact them and add a link if they will do the same for you.

Good luck with it .

Thanks for the feedback. I've added some additional links to my web site and will continue to develop it. I've added a link to rib.net and John has kindly agreed to link his site to mine when he next updates his links page.

I'd be grateful for more feedback to help me achieve my aim of promoting safe and fun ribbing.

Yes, I'd be happy to add a "Solent RIBsters who your likely to meet gallery". Any submissions will be added.

I did not know that I named by RIB "Solent Breeze" after a caravan park!!!!!

To answer your final question. I'm located in Winchester, therefore, Southampton Water and The Solent are my usual cruising areas. I look forward to seeing fellow RIBsters out and about.
