Not quite... it predicts the highest and lowest tides until 2005 - useful, though, for planning the Brambles or Goodwin Sands cricket matches!

There are two high tides each day, but two highest tides every year.

I'm just a lowly "Thumper of Keyboards"

Keep up the "Young" prefix, it suits me

You can't launch at all until you've got your boat!

Very good!!!

Actually I have just been today to book a mooring for it - didn't really want to keep it on the water as I will have to keep taking it our for petrol.

My local marina is full and expensive so am going to use a nice little harbour - only trouble is it is one of the dogiest stretches of water anywhere and the tidal access is only 2.5hrs either side - still it is cheap and secure!!!

It is a proper little marina now with pontoons - cctv and locked gates - for an 8.5m boat £760 a year - Swansea marina have a big waiting list and they want £1900!!!

£760 /yr is exceedingly cheap
£1900 /yr is much less than Solent marina berth prices... probably about half I would guess...

I bet the tidal access 2½hrs either side will drive you nuts though!

Shall I really spoil your day and tell you how much Louise's dad pays for his town centre quayside mooring?
