V air deck transom mount.

Hi everyone. I've just bought a Sunsport with v airdeck which has twin tabs. I want to install a transducer/mount to the transom but finding it difficult. If anyone can offer any advice i would be eternally grateful.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, my mk1 solution for a removable transom mount is here;

http://www.rib.net/forum/f50/fish-fi...blr-58925.html

in the rubber duck section.

It looks like I won't be alone bobbing about off Redcar in the summer, as there's a growing band of sibbers round here, Blond Chris, GJW and several others.
We'll have to get our acts together to out fish the yakkeres.

Thanks Stray
Smashing set up there. Because of the tabs its gonna be difficult getting a transducer fitted as the only place will be behind the engine. I might have to use a portable

I heard a couple of lads were getting sibs round here, and some moving away from yakkin like myself. Hope to see you off Redcar, Skinny etc in the coming months ahead.

Dave

Ahhh, I see what you mean about the Tabs, are they part of the Airfloor?

Off hand I can only think of a flat metal bar bent to hook over the top of the transom, down the back and shaped to go round the Tab. With maybe a bolt/wing nut through the transom to hold it secure.

Yep, they are part of the air floor. Sounds a decent idea that, but need to get engine first to see what clearance there is. Hopefully enough to do the job.
