Valiant V520/Suzuki DF70 match?

I’m looking at viewing a 520 vanguard with a df70, usually only two of us on board, but sometimes another adult and two small kids. Is the engine sufficient for this size rib?
Looking to take to Spain (med side) as a lock up and leave, any issues I should be looking at re the rib.
Don’t know anymore details yet

Thanks
Paul

Should be a reasonable match - A friend had a V490 with that engine - performed well for general use skiing and towables

I've got a df70 on a Capelli 470 which is good for 36kts - engine never missed a beat.

I used to have one, it would be a good boat for the med. not a huge amount of storage which I found an issue. My old one had a yamaha 75 2stroke, would get up on the plane easily and was fine, they are rated to take up to 100hp though. Check the rubbing strake as they seem to be the first part of the tubes that start to fail. Also check the seam at the lower part of the tube where it joins the cone end piece, they can leak here. I put a bottle of sealer into each rear chamber when this happened and the leaks still hadn’t come back two years later when I moved the boat on.
