Vector vega bond shaft length

Morning knowledgable crew

Any ideas is it 25" leg on one of these old beasts never worked on a stepped hull before and no amount of searching finds a lot of info about these vessels

Guessing 150hp will be sufficient

Edd I reckon that will be a 20" shaft. Transom looks quite low.

I've had one of those and it went very well with a 150 Optimax but did tend to sound overheat alarm with any trim. It was standard 20".

Bit narrow beam and low bow but a good upwind boat and fast.

I am now wondering if I am wrong but I know we always wondered if we got it too short, maybe it was 25" and we thought maybe should have gone 30".

It's a strange hull. There's some osprey pedegry in those vector hulls and a real enthusiast who's name escapes me on this forum...

In Ribeye form the 725 was stepped transom and the 625 was not. The 725 had a 25" shaft Yamaha 150 vmax trp engine and was a proper handful to drive, really took some getting used to but was awesome once you'd got used to it.

Vector vega bond shaft length

Vector fitted these and the Mirage hardboat variant, with Evinrude 150s. Not sure on shaft length. I know a guy running a Vagabond down here with twin Yams, I'll ask.

Correction. The Mirage and Vagabond were both rib models, the Vulcan was the hardboat. The Vulcan was popular with Spanish fag smugglers as it had good deck space.
