do you know who the tosser was driving that Pirates of the Carribean boat today. He came dangerously close to our tug and tow at high speed whilst pacing Motorola pebble.

The wash caused two of our tow ropes to break (cost about 450:00 and an hours delay whilst we rerigged. We lodged a complaint with VTS but if we can find his name it will make the process a lot quicker.

The guy is a disgrace to profesional boatdrivers!

Fantastic photos.

Did anybody get any shots of the helicopter soaking a revenger 29 with its downdraft? Very amusing to watch as the boat tried to get away - if a tad dangerous!
They got close enough to throw some film into the boat from the chopper!

Excellent pics PD I have some of my own from a different perspective which I will post soon.

BTW hope all those who were "unhappy" with some of the marshalling on the in-port race were happier with the re-start arrangements. We did our best

Ribald,

Couldnt fault the marshalling arrangements. Top Draw! its not easy and you are keeping everyones interests and safety at heart.

I just wish somepeople would understand there are ways of talking to people to get them to do what you want, and theres ways to talk and act towards people which serves to piss them off and offend, upset and scare the crew and passengers.

Really enjoyed the re start and and got some pictures to remind me of the day.

Couldn't agree more Zippy On the odd occasion when I had to "'ave a word" on Friday I tried to keep it low key & friendly. I think also when I pointed out that there would soon be six 70ft racing yachts travelling at up to 30 knots and wanting to be in the exact patch of water that the "transgressor" was in, tended to concentrate the mind.

Glad you had a good time.

Not too sure but the boat owners were asked to present fuel receipts to the Chief Marshall for re-imbursement.
