Could be either. Suzuki NMEA2000 implementation is flaky at best, even with the correct cable it can be temperamental. The fuel consumption figure will definitely be wrong. The other thing to consider is the plug at the engine end, the early engines (yours?) had a round plug, the later engines have a square plug. You may need an adapter.

Suzuki interface cable

Anyone know where I can get an older interface cable for my 2004 Suzuki 225?
It seams Suzuki doesn’t make them anymore.
