Water seperator ideas

I'm thinking of adding a water seperator to my fuel system before it hits the main donkey.

I have an old one on my rib tucked away under the console, could this be refurbished?

Which are the best ones and do they work with petrol? I guess I'm looking for a clear one if possible.

Racor builds very good separators, sometimes they can be a little large if you don't have a lot of room in the bilge.

I have one of these, enquire about a finer filter for petrol though.
