Waterproof phone pouch...

Hi guys,
I have a Nokia N95 and do have a waterproof pouch, but it's got a frosted cover (well done to the designer of that) so can't see the screen!

Can anyone recommend me a good one on eBay (I can see plenty but would like to go on a recommendation!) - there's none in my locality. It doesn't *have* to also have a string on it (ive got pockets in my drysuit) but it would be an advantage

Many thanks folks!

Alt - not sure if this is exactly what you are after - but we use these when canoeing and they have never let us down with keeping the mobile inside safe and dry - lots of different makes on the market to choose from as well

Yeah that's just the ticket - looking on eBay now. Just need to be sure it has a clear face on it - last one I got was 'frosted' (eventhough it was clear on the pic!)

I've got an Aquapac

http://www.aquapac.net/ukstore/water...ses-592-0.html

although I think it was slightly cheaper than that one, it's not amazingly see-through but can be used. They make them for i-Phones which includes a clear panel, my tame i-Phone owner says its ok, but the plastic is sort of sticky so not the easiest to use.

Ive got an aquapac as above. I use it for my IPhone and havent found any problems with the plastic being sticky. That being said, if I am trying to send a lengthy email or text then I will likely be going slow enough that falling overboard or dropping it shouldnt be an issue so would normally take it out the pouch. However, I do use the iphone for gps while afloat and have always managed fine!!

I used to use it for my N95 as well and worked well but was a little fiddly to slide the slider. However, imo, the most important thing is that it keeps the phone dry for when you do need it as none of them are great if you try and talk with the phone in them!

Ive put a carabina on the end of the string as well so I can clip it onto my belt loop as I am paranoid about dropping stuff!

I use a lock and seal Tupperware box, it floats when I drop it in the water too

The Musto case is just an aquapac with the Musto name on... I've owned both. I like them a lot, the lanyard is very handy and with a cork in there it will float, but I know that quite a few people have had problems with leaks. Well, just one person actually - Andre! And you can't hear it (either ring or the person on the other end) when it's in the bag so the functionality of the 'phone is somewhat compromised to say the least.

Codprawn will be along in a minute or two telling you that £20 is bonkers and you should just use a self-seal plastic freezer bag, and do you know what? He's right!

I'm going to adopt a slightly different approach when my contract with 3 runs it's term, and get one of these:
