We use ECMWF for looking a few days in advance and the Met Office and BBC sites.

BBC weather is great - also has tide tables and buoy data etc.

Have a look at this for a good 6 day forcast of north atlantic synoptic charts - then make up your own mind what the weather will do

Bramblemet is great for realtime info in the Solent (or at least it will be when they fix it). You can get it on your mobile too through wap which is dead handy

Richard

Try weather online. The sailing section is very good. Having selected the sailing section click on Great Brittan and it will give you a selection of areas with wind forecasts for a few days ahead.

Looking rather intently at the weather for RB08 I've found a couple more good weather sites.

There's a surfing site Magic Seaweed which has some great tools on it, including wave bouy data and a very nifty swell animation

GRIB.US, which has been mentioned before, is also worth a look.
