Weekly charter that doesn’t cost the earth?

Looking to charter a rib for a week in august (bareboat) but everything I’ve found seems to cost multiple thousand.

Does anyone know of anything that’s cheaper? South West UK (Devon).

Or am I wishing for something that doesn’t exist?

Thanks

Why not take take your own?
Might lack the convenience but surely it's going to be cheaper.

Oh, shows how long i've been away from this site for - no longer the proud owner of the mighty Ribtec And prices seem to have gone crazy since I purchased that one, hence gthe desire to rent just for the odd week here or there.

Profile edited to reflect sad lack of current ownership!

they have - which also has the effect of driving charter prices up, although they were never cheap to start with. When you consider the cost of a boat, getting it coded, insurance (for randoms!), marina fees, cleaning/maintenance etc then you quickly see how it ends up so expensive. Put it in prime holiday location in peak season and they can probably charge whatever they want!
