Western Solent Gathering - Monday 19 January 8pm - the Mayflower in Lymington

Calling all members to the West of the Itchen and to the East of Anvil - and anyone else who is interested!

I have been thinking for some time of suggesting that we have a gathering for those who launch out of Poole, Christchurch, Yarmouth, Beaulieu and Lymington.

I know some people would like to get out more in their boats but have spouses who tend to be busy (or averse to the cold) at this time of year. This would be a good opportunity to exchange phone numbers and put names to faces and to fix up trips 'crewing' in each others boats

Suggest one evening (8ish) at perhaps the Mayflower (behind the RNLI at Lymington)?

Any takers, preferred nights of the week??

Bruce

Gathering

Bruce,
Yes it would be good to put names to faces. Count me in. Venue sounds OK, Mondays or Thursdays are good for me, but I can usually make other nights as well.

I suggest that you name a date and place, and I'll make it a "sticky" - at worst there will be two of you!

Make sure is doesn't clash with the Churchillian pub meet, as there may be some keen types who'd come to both.

And Ian M is of course that keen type who does come along to the Churchillian sometimes.

To clarify, the Church meet is the Second Monday in the month.

Bruce Hi.

Unfortunately I'm up at our sister company in London most of next week so won't be able to make it.

Next time perhaps.

When I first suggested the Churchillian meet I took the bold step of posting my mobile number so those coming could ring the number and watch to see whos' phone rang.
These days anyone new turning up just seems to find us.

Good luck.

Nasher.

I'd be up for this. Any day, with the exception of Tuesday's.

Dirty Musto How double dare you Sir!
Tricky, how about a clean Musto and a ribnet tee, always assuming that number one son has not claimed it for himself recently
Failing that I'll be the short bald quiet one in the corner

OK the four of us had a good time together and have decided to meet again. Monday's are popular (sorry Paul) but 3rd Monday was felt to be too close to 'Church' so it has now moved to the 4th Monday, but still at the Mayflower at Lymington at 8pm.

The 4th Monday in Feburary is 23rd

JK do you want to re-start a sticky?

Thanks

Bruce
