Unusualy we took in a cropmton last year.
Many many calls for vessel history and coding info were made to Crompton with no reply.
The vessel was untraceable from our exhaustive calls to them and various authorities that may have dealt with them.
This of course does not mean that the vessel was not authentic but after so much effort we decided to pass the vessel to a professional dealer.
In my opinion the vessel seemed to be well found, though unusual lines/bow sheer but did have an unusual history with 50 odd hours on the clock but 5 years old and fitted with a blue flashing light !!
Our conclusions
1. This is the first and last second hand plus non Humber boat we will ever deal with.
2. I am led to belive that the company has experienced some "difficulties" but is possibly about to start trading again. In that case good luck as we can all suffer from problems but why in the meantime not have contact numbers or some help for existing boats ?
3. We would not be in a possition to recomend Crompton at all.
Cheers
John
