What can i replace speedo with?
With the engine having been replaced with a Yamaha 75 there is now a Yamaha MFD sitting where the old tachometer was.
The problem is that the speedo is no longer used so would like to replace it with something else.....I just don't know what?
Any ideas?

Another MFD? I'm not familiar with them, are they NEMA2000? you could display other engine info, fuel, battery etc.

Ah! I'd assumed that MFD=Multi Function Display/Device

It is yes, currently the unit displays revs, trim, hours, voltage and overheat warning.
From my limited knowledge it's about as much as we can get out of the early 90's engine.

An NMEA 2K MFD will hook into the same network the Raymarine will, and then you have dedicated display of whatever you like - e.g Depth - and keeps some clutter off your plotter screen.
Or just fit the plotter over the hole?
