What could I have got for £1k?

Facing a £1k bill today for a new high pressure fuel pump ( diesel pouring out the bottom ) on the car.

To cheer me up some more - what could I have bought for that to actually enjoy ?

Post some links to cheer me up ?

Hmmm... a new car for that much!!

Or 163 gallons of petrol for the boat... that would have taken you far enough to put a smile on your face..
Sitting looking nervously at the tdci Mondeo on the drive now damn you!!

Ten days of charges for taking a non-compliant van into London's Low Emission Zone.

Guess who unthinkingly drove his VW T4 to Heathrow airport yesterday? Yay, £200 down the swanny.
