What does "Believed to be Parker hull" mean?

This boat 7 meter RIB with 300HP Yanmar diesel engine | eBay is described as "Believed to be Parker hull" - I'm a bit baffled by this, isn't that like selling a car and saying "believed to be Volkswagen"?! How could they not know who made the hull?

I'm sure if you pm Andre on here he will tell you in a second or two if it's a Parker boat.

This is not the first time I have been asked that question about the same rib. That rib was made in our factory I believe in 2000 but before Parker Ribs were fully established. Parker Poland had already purchased the moulds and a small number of ribs were produced for a company called Panthercats. A 9mtr and two 630 ribs were exhibited at the Ribex 2000 in Ocean Village. Panthercats some time after the show stopped trading and we re-branded the product Parker Ribs and got rid of those GRP jockey seats. Today that line of ribs is known as the Parker 750RS.

There should be a Panthercat logo on the steering wheel. In theory the rib is not a Parker rib as it was never produced or sold as a Parker Rib. I also believe that the engine was installed in the UK.

The tubes were made by Eurocraft

Knowing the hull well as I have had two demo Parker 750 RS ribs one diesel stern drive and the other outboard - she is a very capable rib, very good sea keeping with first class performance. Well built as well. I do not know her current condition but she is 12 / 13 years old.

You are most welcome. Should you buy her then for sure exchange the seats as those are VERY HARD. We never liked them but that is what Panthercat wanted.
Some few years ago the late Robert Avis did a boat test of the Parker 750RS outboard for Rib International. I can email you a copy if you let me have your email address.

Andre is not telling the truth here...he brought the "copied" moulds from Paul Lemmer...We brought the design rights and the "BWM" name from the same in 1996...in 1998 We changed the shape of the hull (and deck, seats, console etc) - fed up with being accused that "this is not our own design" (and others copying our tooling) we have produced new "Adam Younger Design" hulls which we have now fully copyrighted and we will pursue through the courts if copied...

The ad says it has a Bravo 2 leg with contra rotating props. A Bravo 2 has a single prop. If it has contra rotating props it's a Bravo 3

Grow up, all that is history and has been said many times over the years. I do not know you and do not recall ever accusing you of anything.
Adam Younger has also designed for us. This being a Parker 680 Jet rib which will shortly be tested.
