what engine for Zodiac Medline 1 ??

Hi all,
Just got myself an upgrade, from Zodiac Futura to Zodiac Medline.
Its a 2001 model, so the first medline.
It has a 40hp Evinrude 2 stroke on the back.
The metal plate on the boat states 75hp is the maximum for this boat.
I didnt get the manual for it and i cant find online the max weight for the engine. Me thinks a 75hp 4 stroke might be to heavy?
Anyone knows the max engine weight or has a Medline 1 manual??
Any advise for upgrading the engine power?
many thanks!

Hi there, I bought a Medline I last year.

It came with a Mariner 75 2 Stroke - it flied!

I decided, as I was taking it to Portugal that I wanted something a little more fuel efficient etc. So bought a new Suzuki 60 4 Stroke. Still does 32 knots with that!

I second the Suzi 60 4 stroke - it only weighs 104kg so is probably comparable in weight to many 60-75 hp 2-strokes. It is also very efficient with lean burn technology.
