What do you guys think the best allround manufacturer of rhibs worldwide? Ive always thought that Avon, Willard and Zodiac are up there but what are your thoughts on the topic?

Avons and Zodiacs are really toys only. For example one of the best is Boomeranger. Even the smallest details in electric cables and nuts and bolts are suberb. I have had several ribs and sold everyone in a year because of leaking hulls, rotten wood inside hull etc. Maybe Tornado and Rubert get close.

there is no sensible answer to that question. Ask the same question about cars rather than RIBs and you will see that it is all about personal taste, suitability for the particular job, value for money, etc. Almost certainly your top 3 are not going to be the same top 3 for someone outside North America.

Agree with Poly. There is no "best" of anything in boating. Different people have different intended uses, different sea conditions, and different ideas of what's "good" and "bad" in a boat. What's good for one person may be unsuitable for the next.

You'll also get a different answer from a recreational (occasional) & commercial users .Some gear wouldn't last 6 months solid use !

Ok, but are you saying this wouldn't be a cool rib if it had a sponson wrapped round it?

Gotta admire a ship designed to submerge and carry the loads they do.

They're great aren't they? And look: someone else has said Ribcraft so they must be best.

I suspect as they have shown only a CAD drawing, it's also a fantasy, so doesn't qualify on those grounds either

That must be the Black Marlin then, apparently awaiting orders.
