Pic is taken just 20m from my office.
I think they removed the Arneson and went for regular sterndrive.

Wouldn't you normally expect to reach higher speeds with a surface drive? I don't fully understand it.

I dont know the storry exactly but they didnt manage to get any good speed.
They were disapointed and will change to regular drives, thought they allready did that but what i heard yesterday they silll havent done it.

That is not an Arneson. It is the ZF Jolly Drive, a copy of the Arneson

I don't think they have had any success with their copy. They, ZF, cannot seem to get a surface drive that works.

Why on earth they would want to enter that market is beyond me as the marine gears seems to be where the money is at.

Will keep you informed, we will install twin Yanmar 480 with the ZF Minirex 40 shortly.

These guys have speed in their boat with similiar setup.

Why did you choose the ZF over the Arneson?

The Voom Voom Hustler uses Arnesons with great success.

Same,same...Minirex is a copy of the Arneson.
